Best Onion Rings I've Eaten in Toronto

For years I had to go with Apache Burger on Dundas. How could you not? They were big, with a great basic batter and plenty of sweet onion taste (my guess would be vidalia but I've never asked). And truth be told - these are still my favourite when eaten with a burger.

But as a standalone treat, I've found myself choosing a spot a 10 minute walk south of there on Kipling; Gourmet Burger. If you go to their website - http://thegourmetburgerco.com/ they have plenty to say about their burgers - its a burger joint after all - but not much at all about their rings.     Its unfortunate, because as much as I do love their burgers - and they are in my top 5 in Toronto - their rings are tops. They use a really great beer batter that truly compliments the onion flavour resulting in a snack worth tasting on its own. I think I've had these about 4 times in the past 3 weeks, rarely making it past the Kipling location without popping in for an order.

I love food. I love being fed, andI love those that feed me.

Remorseless Eating Machine
Gratitude for food...

I've always been a fan of great food, but more than this, I'm a fan of eating. I am always grateful for the delicious food I'm fed, and while I do LOVE Kobe Steaks, I am blissful when devouring a Baconator at the local Wendys.
No matter what, when I receive a meal - whether simple or gourmet - I show my gratitude, and say thanks.
In my life I have eaten shark, ostrich, alligator, snake, octopus, squid, quail, duck and the more standard fare, and almost everything has been a delight.
I live in Toronto, but have been fortunate to travel with family or on business, enjoying great meals across North America and Europe.
In this blog I will be posting some of my favourite eating experiences as well as my thoughts on life as they come up. Please follow for fun, comment if you wish - especially if you have recommendations of great places to eat!
